Amy Sherald

A handmade artist catalogue created over 6 weeks using

Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, chipboard,

and traditional book binding methods.

This artist catalogue is a collection of works done by the American artist, Amy Sherald, as well as information about her life and journey as an artist. In order to add interest to the spreads, patterns from her paintings were pulled to interact with the text. Each chapter also follows a color system that is established in the Table of Contents based on the colors in the paintings. The pages were then printed as signatures, groups of 16 pages, that were all sewn together. The signatures were glued into the hard cover that was made of chipboard that the graphics wrapped around.
